I'm in dire need of a new vehicle. My current vehicle, 2001 Toyota Corolla, has been a really good car. However, I've had "Ruby" since January 2003, and she's almost giving out on me. Ruby is showing signs that she's needing some work on her, such as burning oil/needing an oil change around the 2000 mile marker. Ruby's having this kind of trouble with only having approximately 140,000 miles on her; thus the sign on her burning oil is not good. I would be more understanding if she had +200,000 miles, but she doesn't. SOO... I'm looking for a new vehicle. I've narrowed it down to 2 vehicles:
GMC Acadia

Chevy Equinox

Both vehicles are 2010 models, and obviously, we won't be buying the latest and greatest. Just a couple of differences between the SUVs are seating, gas mileage, and price. The Acadia seats 8 people, has a lower gas mileage on the highway/city, and is more expensive. The Equinox seats 5 people, has a higher gas mileage, and is less expensive.
I knew sooner rather then later I was going to have to "up-grade" and buy a new vehicle. I've always driven a little compact, family car, but I have always loved SUVs and trucks. Even though Brandon and I aren't trying to have kids right now, we will be having kids within 2 years, and if I have things my way (lol... like this will happen), we will have our kids back-to-back-to-back-to-back. Yes, there are 4 "backs" in there because I want to have 4 kids, but Brandon only wants 2. We shall see what happens! :) Given all that information, I'm trying to be reasonable with our up and coming purchase. The reason why I chose the Acadia and the Equinox comes down to looks. I love the look of both vehicles. No matter how many times I research both SUVs, I know the final decision will be made based off of a test drive. However, as of right now, I'm leaning more towards the Acadia! ;)
Have a great week and GOD BLESS!
